This year I'll be using Jupiter Ed to post grades and missing assignments online. You will be able to log in and view your grades the first full week of each month.

Grading FAQ's:
What is the grading scale?
I'm using a 4-point grading scale outlined below. Using this simplified scheme, the goal is to move our focus away from "the grade" and spend more time thinking about what it reflects about your learning and understanding of what we're working on in class.

Why can I only see my grades one week out of each month?
Being able to track your progress in this course is important. You will always get graded assignments handed back to you, but the online gradebook is another resource to be used for this. Unfortunately, it's easy to get "grade focused" and lose sight of what's really important - your learning. Instead of asking yourself "What's my grade right now?", it's much more helpful to ask yourself "What do I understand? What have I mastered? What do I still need to master? What am I struggling with? How can I develop this skill/understanding?" To support this goal, access to grades will be limited to one week a month, so that we can focus on the more important questions.

Other Questions?
Answers to most questions can be found in the course syllabus. However, if you can't find it in there, please don't hesitate to email me.
